Requirements
Production Control Supervisor (Inventory/Scheduling) - This role will either be temp-to-hire or direct hire.
Job Summary:
The Production Control Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the production/assembly processes within the company. This position is responsible for generating, scheduling, and reconciling work orders to achieve customer shipping requirements.
Direct the planning and release of production work, both for customer orders and internal demands, to meet business requirements. Track metrics indicating production performance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Condition of employment requires knowledge and conformance to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) as applicable to the position
Create components and finished good part numbers and set up BOL in Macola
Generate production work orders
Produce and maintain daily production schedules
Plan and schedule all subassembly level parts to demand and/or forecast
Work with production management, leads and personnel to determine workflow and resourcing needs
Produce lacking materials report and collaborate with purchasing to close the gap
Expedite and facilitate production work orders through production when needed
Identify production delays and work with production team leaders to implement corrective action
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. May include suggesting changes in work conditions and the use of equipment to increase efficiency of available resources
Analyzes scheduling effectiveness and efficiency and creates proposals and plans to increase profitability and production flows
Issue raw materials to production work orders
Review and reconcile production work orders
Research and resolve material issue variances and inventory discrepancies
Network with shipping personnel to ensure on time shipments
Compile and track department performance metrics
Complete other duties and tasks as assigned
External Customers:
Suppliers of raw materials, bulk materials, and supplies
Contract manufacturers, service providers and distributors
Qualifications and Guidelines:
Experience/Training/Education
BA/BS in Business, Operations or Supply Chain
3-5 years production planning and scheduling capacity experience in manufacturing
3-5 years supervisory experience preferred
Previous experience in positions requiring budget understanding, resource forecasting, and workload planning in manufacturing environments
Knowledge of:
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
ERP or related experience needed, Macola experience is a plus
Knowledge of SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures). Ability to develop procedures that are simple and easy to follow. Ability to write reports, SOPs and procedure manuals
Knowledge of the manufacturing process flow, cGMP and MRP
Skills/Abilities:
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Focused on objectives, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivated with a high degree of initiative and can work independently
Maintain excellent relationships with internal and external personnel at all levels
Possess excellent problem solving skills
Ability to work efficiently in a multi-tasked environment
