Time Warner Cable Media Sales currently seeks an Account Planner. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:
Assist with activities between the sales staff, other departments, and our client base, by performing the following duties:

- Will multi-task and prioritize workload based on Media sales team needs and internal deadlines

- Account management for several Account Executives--this includes the ability to manage all internal aspects of AE ' s accounts from start to finish. Examples include building a client in CRM to inputting orders in Strata View 32; or working with internal TWC departments to create schedules and book an order through the system.

- Strong written and verbal communication with internal and external TWC customers on a daily basis.

- May manage digital orders for sales team, including booking online, and VOD orders and managing online and VOD orders from start to finish, as well as, troubleshooting issues with digital orders with internal TWC teams.

- May communicate daily with client and traffic team on missing traffic, make-goods, and late orders.

- Develop strategies to meet client ' s current campaign needs utilizing TWC ' s catalog of product offerings and the effective use of scheduling

- Exercise judgment to manage make-goods and pre-emptions on assigned AE ' s orders to ensure that all revenue is being added back in as quickly as possible.

- Manage schedule development including checking inventory availability and iterative development Monitor campaign for needed changes (and related make-goods) by functioning as a liaison between the AE, Operations, and the customer client Post-campaign, create both client recap, and fulfillment analysis Review expiring campaign with Client Solutions, and update sales accordingly

Job Requirements:
Prior experience in Media Sales or as a Media Buyer is preferred

- Should have some agency planning experience, or be analytical-minded and want to learn

- Ability to line up psychographics of client ' s customer with various cable network programming

- Ability to decipher between client needs, for example, ' branding ' campaigns VS ' call to action ' and the difference between those schedules

- Be familiar with writing rationales and/or agency POVs ( " point of views " )

- Knowledge of media terms, as well as, media formulas and calculation. Need to know how to estimate ratings

- Ability to back-up work, and have clear logic in creating schedules

- Be familiar with Strata software and Nielsen

- Team-oriented, cooperative and have the ability to work with multiple personalities

- Should be extremely detail-oriented, and yet able to work quickly with deliverables

- Experience with computer software including: MS Office and Excel, and with media system software similar to our own, is preferred

- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations

- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals Ability to communicate effectively with peers, co-workers, key clients and superiors in written and verbal form

- Ability to present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
