Position Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks- Service Consultant

1. Greet customers, determine their needs, and coordinate vehicle repairs using the 12 Step Customer Care process.

2. Provide necessary assistance in the service write up area to ensure customer satisfaction.

3. Schedule accurate service reservations for customers using the reservations process.

4. Meet customer needs throughout the entire service process, including writing Repair Orders, coordinating check in and delivery processes, building and communicating repair estimates, following up on the progress of repairs, contacting customers regarding changes in estimated repair time, and obtaining proper authorization prior to performing repairs.

5. Direct all escalated customer concerns, keeping service management informed of all efforts to improve the customer’s experience, and enlisting management’s aid when necessary.

6. Assist in the checking in and out of loaner cars.

7. Assist with the parking and delivery of service vehicles.

8. Complete required company and manufacturer training.

9. Maintain technical and product knowledge at a level commensurate with needs for communication with customers.

10. Protect confidential customer information by adhering to company compliance policies.

11. All other duties and projects, as assigned.

Position Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Two or more years of previous experience as a service advisor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Position requires standing six to 8 hours per shift, bending, kneeling, reaching, stooping, lifting items weighing up to 70 pounds and driving vehicles. May be exposed to cleaning solutions and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
