Aerospace Strategic Sourcing Specialist

An Aerospace Company in Philadelphia, Pa is looking to hire an "Aerospace Strategic Sourcing Specialist - (New Product Introduction)" to start working in a full time position.

Summary of Position:

• Acts as an authorized agent of the company with the responsibility to commit company resources through complex contracts and agreements (inside of delegated commitment levels) for procurement of goods and services. Also bears the responsibility for all supplier activities in boundaries of their assigned Commodity Group. Interpreting and enforcing contract terms and conditions are also a regular function of this position. Must be able to execute complex tasks with very minimal supervision. Must also be able to execute purchase orders and follow delivery status requirements as well.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Negotiation and preparation of contracts for design, development, production and product support of airborne equipment.
• Negotiation and preparation of Purchase Orders for airborne equipment
• Preparation of Request for Proposals (RFP), negotiation and supplier selection, for purposes including bids for new equipment, re-sourcing of suppliers, or bundling and unbundling of suppliers
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications for Position:

• BA/BS in Business or related field. MBA would be preferred.
• 7+ years of experience related to procurement/sourcing of parts & equipment for aircraft worthiness.
• Must be available for occasional Domestic & International travel.

Competencies & Attributes

1. Proven experience in the elaboration and negotiation of complex contracts - encompassing also detailed terms for subsequent production and product support - and of Purchase Orders.
2. Must have experience in Long Term Agreements (LTA) with high preference towards:

• DMA (Design Modification Agreements)
• PSA (Product Support Agreements)

1. Initimate knowledge of the US Aerospace & Defense Supplier Markets
2. Independent Work Skills
3. Availability to Travel as needed, typically c/o Suppliers Worldwide
4. Previous multi-year experience in procurement/strategic sourcing inside of the Rotor Craft industry.
5. SAP experience is plus

Licensure/Certification

• CPSM is preferred, but not required.
