Manpower is seeking Industrial Maintenance Mechanics with Electrical skills for Permanent Placement The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for upkeep of machinery and the physical plant for the manufacturing facility. Repairs and installs machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with specification using hand tools, power tools and precision & testing instruments. May be responsible for building maintenance. Essential Functions: * Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. * Performs at a skilled level in operating power and manual tools to repair machinery and/or facilities in assigned area under limited supervision, such as the following: drill press and hand drill; band saw; pipe cutter; multi-meters and power and manual hand tools. * Troubleshoots and repairs, with or without documentation, by analyzing the failure; develops a minimum cost solution; obtains materials; coordinates with the customer; performs the repair in a safe manner; and, documents all work performed. * Follows approved electronic work instructions; follows established department procedures, which may be found in electronic or paper form. Incumbent must be capable of finding and referencing work instructions when asked. * Required to perform machine preventative maintenance functions, i.e. changing coolants, lubricants, filters, etc. * Uses the manufacturing computer system for basic departmental functions, such as entering Maintenance or Equipment Service Requests; tracking jobs completed and parts used; and time spent. Reports any discrepancies to lead or supervisor. * Willingly accepts responsibility of sharing skills and knowledge with other employees. May train other employees as required. * May be required to interpret basic control charts and capability studies within Statistical Process Control (SPC). * Must maintain a valid fork lift and driver license. * May be required to carry pager or cellular phone for on-call assignments. * Possess the ability to use the computer system for basic departmental functions.
