The Senior Legal Services Specialist is responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing provider contracts and researching Medicaid regulations.  This role will have a high level of interaction with internal business clients and members of the Legal, Compliance and Regulatory Affairs teams to provide updates and guidance regarding provider contracts, Medicaid regulations and related legal issues. 


 


Additional responsibilities include:



  • Continuous process improvement of contract templates

  • Researching legal issues

  • Developing a tracking mechanism for contract agreements

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 



  • Undergraduate degree

  • 5+ years of contract review, negotiation & drafting experience

  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Strong customer service and client relationship skills

Preferred Qualifications:



  • Project Management experience

  • Legal Assistant/Paralegal Certificate or Associate Degree in legal/paralegal studies

  • Healthcare industry/Managed Care experience
