As the Health Care Economics Analyst you will design and develop reports and analyze data to measure clinical outcomes, network performance and methodology levers. You will investigate key business problems through quantitative analyses of utilization and health care costs data. Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Interpret and analyze statistical, financial and membership data in support of Underwriting, Actuarial and utilization analyses
  • Interpret and analyze healthcare claim experience data from various sources
  • Create and update existing reports within client databases
  • Be able to interpret requests and get the customer what they need

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree OR High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of health care experience working with claims data and medical codes
  • 2+ years of experience in performing data analytics
  • 2+ years of working experience/knowledge with SQL, SAS and/or other statistical programs
  • Intermediate level of experience with MS Access including formulas and calculations
  • Intermediate level of experience with MS Excel including formulas, calculations, charts, graphs, etc.

Preferred Qualification:

  • Experience with TOPS or other claims payment systems
