About this job
1. Performs skilled and complicated mechanical work on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components such as engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling system, chassis, brakes, engine tune up, overheads and over all general maintenance with minimum to no supervision.
2. Performs trouble shooting on major problems.
3. Works with and helps train Apprentice Technicians.
4. Maintains a neat and orderly work area, and proper handling of company tools.
5. Performs inspections on equipment to determine if any additional repairs are needed.
6. Maintains favorable relations with customers
7. Participates in training to stay abreast of new technology
8. Performs 3 axle alignments
9. Installs, diagnoses and repairs satellite communication systems.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by a Supervisor
