Organization Description: A tech startup that has developed a social mobile application fostering interactions between users in a shared location who post, listen, view and discuss news, articles, music, pictures, videos and more.
Position Description: The Campus Outreach Director of Marketing is responsible for introducing and implementing the mobile app into college campuses, starting in San Diego and expanding across the country.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Create and implement Campus Brand Ambassador Programs at colleges across the campus
* Recruit college student to join the Brand Ambassador Program
* Identify student organizations (campus groups, Greek life, athletics, etc) in which to foster and promote the app
* Manage email lists and users that Ambassadors acquire
* Generate incentive packages for ambassadors as well as users through user acquisition, contests, retention plans
* Work with CEO on budget requirements when dealing with incentive and contest prizes
* Launch Ambassador Program and App in San Diego - specifically starting with UCSD and then growing nationally
Qualifications:
* BA/Alternative equivalent experience
* Relevant marketing/sales experience
* A very creative, high-energy marketer
* Ability to understand and relate to the college audience
* Can recruit, organize and excite campus advocates
* Can work effectively in a dynamic startup organization - including self-management skills and the ability to multi-task and handle a portfolio of projects
* Has a genuine interest and deep understanding of exciting new mobile applications and social networks
* Willingness to travel as necessary to support the company
