Responsible for talent acquisition with Corporate and Packaging organizations. 1. Provides recruiting assistance to staff department with responsibility for exempt and non-exempt personnel requirements. 2. Effectively interfaces with Corporate/Packaging management and employees; communicates and interprets established policies, procedures, practices, programs and laws. 3. Acts as the recruiter for open positions; works with and counsels "hiring managers" on the selection process of qualified applicants, interviews candidates, makes offers and declines applicants. 4. Creates both internal and external job postings. 5. Complies with all applicable employment laws, OFCCP, AAP, FLSA, etc. 7. Works with diversity organizations to promote hiring diverse candidates. 8. Keeps job knowledge current by reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations and maintaining personal networks. 9. Assists with college recruiting as needed. 10. Attends career fairs as needed. 11. Facilitates candidate activity using the Applicant Tracking System. 12. Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts. 13. While the regular working cycle of this position is usually five days on (Monday-Friday), this job may include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday); working hours may vary as specified by management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management. 15. Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations. 16. Performs duties without posing a direct threat to anyone or to property. Direct threat is defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation. 17. Ability to work independently within parameters set by management. 18. Communication. Ability to communicate effectively, write effectively, read, comprehend, and follow complicated verbal and written instructions. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college level education or equivalent. Job related experience for 5-10 years . Working knowledge of the following areas: Prior full cycle recruiting experience within a technical or manufacturing organization. Knowledge of all applicable laws, regulations and procedures. Good computer skills and experience utilizing an Applicant Tracking system. Ability to apply standard independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of recruiting techniques, procedures and criteria. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner. Performs such individual assignments as management may direct. Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct as outlined in the Corporation manuals. Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills. Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices. Works in confined area(s). Physical Requirements: This position regularly requires a high degree of mental effort due to considerable interruptions and/or frequent changes of activity or workloads during a typical working day.
