The MENTOR Network is seeking a Business Systems Analyst. The Analyst will be eliciting, researching and analyzing business requirements for all of business and corporate units. Provide recommendations and options to the business on application design and business process improvements based on analysis. Prepare business cases, create technical specifications, prepare and execute test plans and support users conducting testing activities. Provide support to IT staff and users during the development and post deployment phase of projects.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Act as a liaison between the project sponsors within the business unit and the Operations Systems group to facilitate the identification of process improvements, system requirements and design, and testing and implementation of large and/or complex technical projects, which often requires coordination of multiple functional areas.

  • Analyze and provide recommendations on major projects and system enhancements to the decision makers.

  • Facilitate critical interviews and workshops with project stakeholders.

  • Analyze and define user requirements and translate them into system requirements to ensure understanding of the request by all project members.

  • Document data requirements and conduct data analysis for integration and conversion efforts.

  • Create business models to support requirements language.

  • Collaborate with other IT disciplines to ensure continuity between requirements, design, and testing on or between project teams.

  • Create and execute test and implementation plans and coordinate testing of system enhancements and projects with the user area.

  • Create and provide technical training for deployed applications; assist with user training when needed.

  • Participate in the creation of system procedures, guidelines and technical documentation of new systems.

  • Maintain general level of business functional knowledge and current automated technologies.



Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Management, Computer Science or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience with business process analysis and redesign, and/or business systems analysis.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work effectively with multiple departments and stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills and requirements planning and management skills.
