Behavioral Health Technician

Arizona MENTOR is growing and seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to assist, support, and teach the skills necessary to enable SMI clients to achieve their activities of daily living in a 24 hour living situation. Behavioral Health Technicians support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support by conducting a minimum of one individual counseling session and one group counseling session per week. Behavioral Health Technicians provide assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and planning; medication administration; and personal care. Behavioral Health Technicians may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.

Hiring salary rate up to $13 per hour depending on experience.

What we require of you:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be 21 years of age
• All positions are awake positions. Must able to remain awake at all times.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
• Ability to obtain a Level 1 fingerprint clearance card

Preferred:

• Four years verifiable experience working with individuals with mental illness OR related 4-year degree.
• American Sign Language (ASL)
