Aerotek is currently hiring for an experienced Electrical Assembler in Maquoketa, IA. This position is a 2nd shift opportunity (2:30PM-1:00AM). This is a great opportunity with a growing company in the area. Job Duties:
- Wire electrical panels, install conduit as per specifications, and troubleshoot wiring issues as needed
- Route, wire, assemble, and install electrical and electronic components, such as main junction and terminal boxes, and main control switch panels
- Cut wire to specified lengths, insulate connections
- Crimp terminal eyelets and lugs to wire ends, using crimping device
- Connect wiring to accessories, such as relays, circuit breakers, plugs, condensers, switches, and/or solenoids, and installs accessory assemblies in electrical or electronic units
- Perform electrical testing to ensure UL compliance
Job Requirements:
- Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams and/or blueprints
- Possess good hand-eye coordination, steady hands, and manual dexterity
- Must be able to read measurement devices, such as a tape measure and ruler, to convert fractions to decimals
- Ability to use combination square, calipers, and protractor to perform measurements
- Read and interpret voltage and amp meters
- Follow all general safety regulations and help maintain a safe working environment
- PLC knowledge is preferred
- Experience in electrical assembly in manufacturing and/or industrial environment preferred
