The Controls Engineer shall work closely with sales, marketing, design engineering, and manufacturing to improve processes, implement testing procedures, and drive operational efficiency with regards to electrical designs.
This position will provide cross-functional technical leadership for design and manufacturing operations, with focus on equipment electrical design, component selection, agency compliance, and assembly.

Job Duties:
- Architect software
- Developing Schematics and Macros in ECAD systems
- Working with customers and entering customer specifications for control panels into the APE expert system
- Testing APE software installations and systems for their production readiness
- Creating drawings to support new control panel product design activities (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)
- Interpreting and implement design changes provided by the customer
- Assist with schematic creation and modification using ECAD software(Promise - E and E-Plan)

Compliance Requirements/Duties:
- Utilize understanding of global standards and safety codes to evaluate compliance and train engineers and manufacturing personnel.
- Research and analyze prospective products
- Review the product design and manufacturing process to ensure product is delivered to customer specifications and 3rd party standards. Utilize compliance reviews on initial development of new products.
- Manage third party production level inspections and work closely with manufacturing to ensure compliance.
- Maintain a positive relationship with UL/Intertek/NEMA/CCC/TUV (DRC's third party certification partners) to satisfactorily meet customers' requirements by ensuring conformance to all applicable standards and safety codes.
