About this job

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage IT projects plans
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with management and stakeholders
  • Create project planning documents specifying goals, strategy, resources, scheduling, identification of risks, and contingency plans
  • Meet with and receive feedback from project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
  • Identify and communicate team requirements and responsibilities
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify issues, and devise contingency plans
  • Facilitate status meetings communicating deadlines, upcoming events, potential issues, risks, action items, etc.
  • Manage issues that arise to ensure they are resolved in an effective and timely manner
  • Operate as a liaison between business users and the technology team
  • Acts as a project management expert for non-project managers



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Skill Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of project management methodology and terminology
  • Strong integration skills, with the ability to coordinate all aspects of project and program governance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information in a non-technical fashion to all levels of management, and speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
  • Superior listening skills with the ability to gain clarification when needed
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver presentation, lead and participate in meetings
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with ease, set priorities, and manage time effectively
  • Ability to work well independently and accomplish goals with little or no supervision, or as part of a team as a contributor or team lead
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and experience of project methodologies.
  • PMP certification a plus; but equivalent experience a must
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project, SharePoint, Visio and Excel a plus
  • Experienced managing and delivering IT infrastructure projects
  • Experience and understanding of Networks, Servers, and other technical service areas a plus.
