Primary Responsibilities:



  • Perform variance and trend analyses and provide explanations and recommendations

  • Design and deliver reporting of pharmacy and medical claims; more importantly, provide corresponding analysis to identify and drive potential opportunities for the business

  • Identity solutions to non-standard request and problems

  • Act as SME for Specialty Pharmacy analytics and provide feedback, coaching and guidance to others

  • Utilize tools such as SAS, SQL, and MicroStrategy to access and manipulate claims data

  • Analyze benchmarking data, reports, processes and measurements

  • Create financial modeling using claims and other health care data

  • Pioneer new methods to help prove value of medical and pharmacy benefit integration

  • Interpret complex clinical and economic analyses

  • Provide insight and expertise by presenting findings, analysis and reports to the UHCP Management Team

Requirements


Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Statistics or equivalent degree

  • 3+ years of previous experience with emphasis in financial analysis or other analytical functions

  • SAS proficiency

  • 2+ years' experience in data analytics and reporting

  • Intermediate Excel

  • Proficient with PowerPoint

  • Excellent conceptual and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills and business acumen

  • Ability to interact effectively with different business units and team members at all levels

  • Prioritizes and organizes own work to meet deadlines
