Summary of Role The Regional Controller is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, as well as implementation and review of compliance with administrative processes. They will lead a team of Branch Administrators which includes initial training and ongoing support. The Regional Controller will partner with the Regional and Branch Managers to develop and employ strategies to improve financial performance through forecasting, budgeting and month end reviews. Responsibilities Accurate and timely preparation of branch and region P&L statements • Organize and direct month end close process o Review Fixed Asset Reports, Material Inventory, Open Receipts, Revenue • Review branch financial performance against established goals and standard measures • Work with Regional and Branch Manager to develop action plans for improvement • Review all branch and regional accounting transactions to assure timely and accurate recording • Prepare and enter month end G/L and job cost journal entries and maintain supporting documentation • Review A/R Aging to make reserve recommendations Develop and monitor branch and region budgets • Assist branch in developing renewal plan • Assist in production planning process • Organize and direct branch development of branch budget • Enter budgets in accounting system Oversight of branch level accounts receivable process • Monitor branch compliance with collection process • Hold weekly call with Branch Administrators to review delinquent accounts • Send out weekly e-mail with A/R chart showing branches A/R within region • Assist branch and corporate office with delinquent accounts as necessary • Assist and monitor timely application of unapplied cash • Assist and monitor timely application of unapplied cash & credits Oversight of branch level billing process • Process Regional Billing at customer’s request • Perform month end review of all branch contract billing – Review Forecast to Actual Report • Review and coach branches on enhancement estimating and billing processes Oversight of branch level purchasing and accounts payable processes • Perform month end review of all expenditures • Monitor review of open receipts report and follow up with branch • Monitor review of API reports and follow up with branch • Monitor that POs were issued for all purchases Oversight of branch level payroll processes • Perform month end review of all branch payroll related accounts • Review branch compliance with P/R Report review process o Monitor Fluctuating Work Week • Process new hire paperwork for BMs and others as necessary Train and Coach Branch Teams • Provide training and support to Branch Administrators • Work with Branch Managers to develop understanding of budgeting and production planning processes • Coach and mentor teams to understand their financial performance and the tools available to help them run Other • Monitor branch compliance with contract administration • Monitor and assist branch with forecasts • Monitor and assist branch with sales reporting compliance - Review Incompletes Lynx Report • Provide audit support to corporate accounting as requested • Perform analysis and projects as determined by Regional and Corporate Management Core Competencies ACTION ORIENTED: Works hard.
