Our Exciting Work Environment

Located next to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon Park is composed of two distinct areas – Grant Grove (home to the General Grant tree, also known as "the Nation's Christmas Tree") and Cedar Grove. Grant Grove visitors snap photos and marvel at the sheer size of the sequoia grove. Kings Canyon is also home to Redwood Canyon, the largest remaining grove of sequoia trees in the world.

Responsibilities

· Greet guest upon arrival.

· Perform guest check-ins and check-outs.

· Perform cash transactions associated with guest stays.

· Utilize point of sales system to perform transactions.

· Coordinate with Bell-Person for transfer of guest luggage to rooms.

· Assist guest with special needs.

· Answer guest questions regarding facility and surrounding area.

· Answer phones promptly and professionally.

· Follow proper radio procedures.

· Ensure all work areas are neat, clean and well organized.

· Balance assigned cash drawer and transactions before shift end.

· Follow all DNCPR Environmental GreenPath program, GuestPath service program, NPS, and Safety policies, procedures and regulations.

Qualifications

· 1-year prior experience in guest service capacity required.

· Minimum of 1-year cash handling experience utilizing a computerized point of sale system.

· Ability to stand during required shift.

· Ability to read, write and speak English for effective communication.

· Ability to multi task, stay organized and maintain guest service standards in a fast paced work environment.
