Our Exciting Work Environment

Located next to Sequoia National Park, Kings Canyon Park is composed of two distinct areas – Grant Grove (home to the General Grant tree, also known as "the Nation's Christmas Tree") and Cedar Grove. Grant Grove visitors snap photos and marvel at the sheer size of the sequoia grove. Kings Canyon is also home to Redwood Canyon, the largest remaining grove of sequoia trees in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Greets and acknowledges every guest
  • Identifies guest needs and appropriately suggests product with every guest to enhance service and meet sales goals.
  • Answers guest questions and assists them whenever possible
  • Prepares coffee and other beverages to specifications
  • Follows health, safety & sanitation guidelines for all products
  • Recommends, selects and helps locate or obtain merchandise for guests
  • Processes sales with the Halo point of sale system, accepts payment, counts change and bags merchandise.
  • Adhere to Delaware North guidelines and regulations
  • Follows all register procedures and handles cash accordingly
  • Exchanges merchandise for guests and processes returns, with approval of supervisor.
  • Maintains records related to sales
  • Ensures that all merchandise is correctly labeled and displayed
  • Routinely stocks merchandise and faces items on shelves
  • Performs cleaning tasks in accordance with cleaning standards and works as a store team member
  • Verifies amount of bank at beginning and the end of each shift
  • Maintains a clean and organized store
  • Maintains orderly back-stock and knows where goods are to be found
  • Set aside and notifies supervisor of defective, mismarked, mislabeled, incorrectly priced, shop-worn or damaged merchandise.
  • Watches for and recognizes security risks and thefts and reports to security and management
  • Completes all related close-out paperwork
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • GED/HS equivalency preferred
  • Previous cash handling experience required
  • Previous experience with operating point-of-sale systems preferred
  • Previous experience in retail or customer service environment preferred
  • Excellent guest service skills; ability to adhere to Company’s GuestPath Universal Service Standards.
  • Good communication skills; ability to communicate with guests and co-workers.
  • Attention-to-detail


Physical Requirements

  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs
