POSITION SUMMARY:
The Restocker/Order Picker provides great customer service by quickly and accurately restocking product in designated bins and accurately selecting product and packing product based on customer orders.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Load cases from pallet to cart in restock area.
* Scan label on cases. Verify that label matches case description and content.
* Travel to designated bin location to replenish product according to standards.
* Able to fold product neatly.
* Move empty boxes to appropriate location.
* Read customer order/ pick list to determine style, color, size, quantity and customer notes.
* Verify box/ bag size needed and select appropriate size to pick order in.
* Verify merchandise in bin location matches item on pick list accurately.
* Must look at product to confirm style, color and size.
* Visually inspect product to confirm there are no irregularities, damages, etc.
* Meet minimum production and accuracy requirements.
* After assembling customer order from stock, places order on conveyor to packing station.
* Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:
* Demonstrates ability to follow directions and change priorities or job duties as business needs require; rotate within restock and order pulling functions as needed. Participate in physical inventories and cycle counts on an as needed basis.
* Maintains a safe, neat and clean work area by adhering to SanMar's safety regulations.
* Able to clean while working, open cases and remove debris from restock and lo-bay areas as needed.
* Able to work independently.
* Welcome, help and teach new employees as required.
* Assist in building a positive and productive work environment.
* Mandatory overtime may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High School Education preferred but not required.
* Comprehend oral and written instructions.
* Able to read, write, and have sufficient ability to identify colors, sizes, quantity, label and SKU information.
* Must have basic math skills in counting and quantity.
* Strong attention to detail.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand. The employee frequently lifts and/ or moves up to 50 pounds (Restock). The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, handle or feel, to pull/ push cart with product, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee is frequently required to climb, kneel/ squat, bend and carry. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
