Position: Janitorial Supervisor
Work Site: SSA/NCC
Work Hours: Varied -must be able to work all shifts; 24 hour operation; weekends mandatory
Rate of Pay: $14.99 per hour

Typical Job Duties:
* Supervising the daily activities of employees engaged in janitorial operations
* Evaluating job performance, reviewing evaluation and suggesting improvements
* Training and developing new employees
* Directing, assigning, and reviewing work
* Disciplining employees for rules and regulations infractions
* Scheduling employees based on contract requirements; granting time off
* Terminating employees when necessary
* Performing janitorial duties when appropriate/needed
* Ensuring quality control standards are met in accordance with contract specifications
* Preparing reports as needed; documenting all employee interactions
Education and Experience Requirements:
Applicant must possess the knowledge, skills, physical ability, and mental capacity to perform the duties and responsibilities enumerated above or implicit therein. Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge in janitorial procedures, modern techniques, and methods of cleaning is required. One to three years supervisory experience required. Applicant must be able to pass Federal security clearance, which includes a fingerprint check, provide 5 years of verifiable employment references and pass a pre-employment physical which includes a drug and alcohol screening.
Special Skills:
Stripping and refinishing of floors (marble, tile, concrete, etc.); ability to operate buffers, hot water extractors, wet/dry vacs, floor scrubbers, tractor, backpack vacuum cleaners, and regular vacuum cleaner. Applicant must be capable of working outside in inclement weather. Applicant must demonstrate the ability to follow verbal instructions and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
