Summary
The Bartender’s role is to provide excellent customer service at all times, making the Guest the heart and passion of all they do. This includes friendly and timely interaction with Guests, suggestive selling, answering questions, taking and delivering the Guests' order and following up to ensure each Guest receives their correct food and/or drink order. Maintains a clean, organized and smooth-running bar. Sells food and alcoholic beverages for consumption by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide an enjoyable bar experience for the guest and meet and exceed the guests’ expectations for customer service.
• Greet all customers as they approach the bar.
• Listen and understand the guests’ needs first and takes extra steps to make the guest feel welcome at the bar (i.e.: knowing guests’ names, shake hands, and introduce yourself, etc.)
• Is knowledgeable of the products being served (i.e.: all liquor, beer, and wine available), all specials on a shift by shift basis, and all menu items and desserts.
• Practice proper bar etiquette at all times.
• Follow the safety rules provided in the Joe’s Crab Shack Safety Program found in the Employee Orientation manual and report any safety hazards to management.
• Practices responsible service of alcoholic beverages.
• Additional duties may include, weighing kegs to place orders, performing weekly inventory, stocking liquor, beer and wine orders, frozen drink mixes, ice buckets, etc.
• Never serves a guest who appears intoxicated or under the legal drinking age.
• Assist servers if necessary.
• Complete other duties as assigned in support of the business.

Requirements
Qualifications
• Any combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with Team Members, Managers, and Guests
• Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
• Ability to perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear and taste or smell throughout the entire shift.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and may exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
