Position Summary

The Client Solutions Manager (CSM) has overall Marketing responsibility for the Client Solutions Marketing team. The CSM Manages one or more Client Solutions Associates and is directly aligned with GMs and LSMs to develop and create unique client focused marketing and advertising strategies to grow revenue for Time Warner Cable Media. As the overall Marketing partner to the Sales Leaders, the CSM must set the direction for the Client Solutions department including the strategies they will deploy in order to help TWCM acquire and or retain customers. In performing their role, the Manager works closely with the Managing Director to hire, train, develop and manage Client Solutions team members to best serve the needs of the Sales team. The Manager will create the vision, set the direction and will share responsibility for holding the Client Solutions function accountable for results. This position is complex because it requires the CSM to have excellent relationships with key client contacts, as well as expert knowledge of various advanced Marketing techniques and he/she must ensure that strategies such as quantitative research, promotion recommendations (including financial modeling of promotions) as well as creative marketing techniques are consistently provided to the Sales team. The Manager is indirectly accountable for the revenue growth of their markets.

Key and Target Account Support

The primary focus of the Manager is to oversee the relationship with the Market Sales Leaders and to cultivate and maintain positive relationships with key client contacts. They are held accountable for the overall performance of one or more Client Solutions Team members with regards to the development of compelling marketing strategies and solutions for our Key and Target accounts.

The Client Solutions Manager is responsible for ensuring that their department provides the following with regards to Key and Target Accounts:

Client specific media and marketing strategies

Unique and creative promotions - to include budgetary and legal adherence governance

ü
Category, Media and competitive research

ü
Unique client specific presentations to help aid sales calls

ü
Compelling client communications

ü
Campaign analytics (i.e. analytics showing the performance of a client post sale)

ü
Use and understanding of secondary market research databases in order to assist Sales Leaders and Sales Staff in analysis of competitive media, industry trends, and market intelligence.

Digital DNA: 20%

ü
Is accountable for ensure and holding Sales employees and management accountable for the integration of digital inclusion in all client presentations and promotions.

The CSM will work closely with Sales Leaders and Digital Sales Leads to develop and implement digital solutions. They will also challenge Sales leaders to improve their use of digital products (or the appropriate mix of products) while coaching Client Solution Assoc

ü
Collaborate with DSLs to deliver meaningful analytics and optimization recommendations to clients/agencies.

ü
May present externally to large clients/agencies to promote TWCM ' s digital product suite (online, VOD, Online). May coach associates level employees on how to prepare for such meetings that the Manager may not attend.

ü
Develop and provide ongoing digital product training with Sales and for Client Solutions Associates. Trains Client Solution Team members on changes in digital products and strategies to market those products.


Strategic Sales Planning Support (Monthly/Quarterly/Annual Budget Targeting): 15%

Serves as a partner with Sales Leaders to develop quarterly/ annual client specific strategies and presentations. Sets the tone for direct reports in how to support this process.

ü
Provide recommendations and analysis of the largest Key and Target Clients, category insights, digital opportunities, market conditions and competitive market analysis.

ü
Develop strong partnerships with assigned markets sales leaders to help guide them in exploring external growth opportunities.

ü
Will likely present and be held accountable for budget review meetings with senior staff


Manage Effective Promotions 15%

ü
Oversee the development of creative, legally compliant, cable-branded promotional opportunities and contests that increase billing, develop new client relationships, and/or service existing clients.

ü
Provide training, coaching and feedback to direct reports on the development of client promotions including: conceptualizing promotional ideas, developing proposals, working with local/regional/national suppliers to oversee promotional collateral materials.

ü
Is the local subject expert and serves as a sounding board for complicated promotions helping direct reports to oversee all necessary legal compliance to include affidavits of eligibility, necessary insurance requirements, legal and/or liability documents and proper safety precautions. May help with negotiations for promotional prizes/giveaways and barter agreements for large deals. Reviews monthly/quarterly promotional finance analytics/reports created by direct reports.

Skills and Qualifications


ü
5+ years of integrated marketing, Agency, Media and/or Ad Sales is highly preferred.

ü
Experience with and proven ability to manage others and provide coaching and direction (including selection, training and developing, performance coaching, etc.).

ü
Talent for leading remotely and developing relationships through virtual communications.

ü
Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications with overarching skill to translate data, information and research into powerful points of view - ability to craft and tell a compelling story.

ü
Excellent relationships with key contacts in the local agency community

ü
Knowledge of cable television, digital products, and advanced advertising products.

ü
Knowledge of research databases, tools and applications, including (but not limited to) Nielsen, Scarborough, MRI, Kantar, BIA/Kelsey, eMarketer and comScore

ü
Familiarity with and experience in digital marketing; understanding of online campaign development, metrics and optimization strategies.

ü
Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite. Also, HTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Flash and FrontPage familiarity helpful.

ü
Knowledge of banner advertising, capturing/digitizing streaming media, image editing and graphic design.

ü
High level of project planning, development and implementation.

ü
Ability to organize workflow and to follow through on multiple tasks.

ü
A minimum of a Bachelor ' s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field is preferred.
