WE ARE currently hiring instructors for Afterschool Programs in the Cerritos, Los Alamitos, Santa Ana, Huntington Beach, Cypress and Seal Beach areas!
For the last 20 years Mad Science has provided entertaining and spectacular educational science to children in preschool through 6th grade.
You do NOT need to be a certified teacher, nor do you need to be a science major. You MUST enjoy/have experience working with groups of children, have a functioning car, and be a highly energetic and DYNAMIC individual with a desire to make learning fun. This is a part-time position. We need people to teach between 2 and 5 one-hour classes per week. We train you in the curriculum, and provide all materials.
The average instructor will work 2-5 classes per week, making $54-$160 per week. (Depending upon availability and experience.) Classes generally start between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. We are looking for instructors to have at least three days of availability( THURSDAY IS A MUST!). As an instructor you will be LIVESCAN fingerprinted and TB tested. Each day you work, you will drive to the local elementary school you have been assigned to. We try to limit your driving time by placing you in schools as close as possible to where you live.
We are also looking for weekend availability for conducting Special Events and Birthday Parties!
Our instructors are required to come to a weekly staff meeting every Friday from 12:30-1:30 PM in Santa Ana.
