Senior Solutions Architect: Golden Valley, MN;Hartford, CT

As a Segment Solutions Architect you will be modeling the OptumHealth segment and business landscape to analyze the alignment of business capabilities with delivered technology and IT solutions. This position is the link between the business needs of the organization and the technology delivery organization.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Participate in aligning of Segment Solutions Roadmap to support OptumHealth Business Strategy and the Enterprise

Develop the overall vision of projected solutions and transforms that vision through execution into the solution

Collaborate with the business to evaluate business goals, identify business problems, and propose solutions

Design solutions following Segment roadmap to incorporate applications, information and business functions across the enterprise while following Segment architectural tenets

Follow standards and guidelines when defining and describing business and systemic requirements for information systems projects

Provide leadership, decomposing business programs and business initiatives into an actionable set of project activities, to include business process modeling, simulation, validating the business premise, providing clear direction on the projects execution and assuring a high return on investment

Build Solution Plans that define the end state systems solution, scope of solution initiatives, solution delivery sequencing, assumptions, and risks

Execute a solution strategy to support a business plan that supports product growth

Facilitate change and process improvement within software development and business organizations

Collaborate with quality teams to drive continuous improvement

Required Qualifications

7 or more years experience as a technical solution experience with exposure to business architecture within large enterprise environments.

Demonstrated experience in creation of architectural artifacts for teams including Software Architecture Documents

Demonstrated  experience with driving enterprise process improvement for organizations.

Demonstrated experience with use integration solution design patterns.

Demonstrated experience with UML along with usage of modeling tools.

Comfortable with presenting of ideas and concepts to Sr. leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

Healthcare industry experience

Experience with Cloud deployment services

Experience with leading large complex solution projects

Demonstrate exposure to business architecture with understanding of business capability models.

Demonstrate experience with broad knowledge of technical tools, platforms and patterns.

TOGAF certification
