Supervision:
Report to shift supervisors
Does not supervise others.
Primary Purpose:
Use material handling equipment to pick and package products for customers, put product into stock locations or customer vehicles, and replenish products onto shelf.
Essential Duties:
Safely and efficiently operate warehouse material handling equipment
Ability to build stable, well-built accurate loads for shipment, understanding pallet layers, heights, and counting methods used when working with pallets of product.
Reads and understands product descriptions, packaging and pick tickets
Has a good attitude with other employees and customers
Provide good customer service
Practice warehouse processes to minimize damage and other wastes.
Occasional Work Performed:
Sanitation and maintenance of shared areas
Working Conditions:
Temperature extremes: hot and humid temperatures and/ or 5 below zero freezer temperature.
Full time, weekend work required.
Overtime and advancement opportunities
Ethical, fast paced work environment
Qualifications
High School diploma or general equivalency degree
Minimum age 21
Verifiable work references
Ability to lift 50 pounds continually and up to 90 pounds occasionally
Sufficient vision and hearing necessary
Maintains good hygiene and is naturally caffeinated
Ability to read,speak, and comprehend the English language.
Detail oriented and on time
Manual dexterity, overall coordination and good balance are required. Ability to speak, stand, walk and move rapidly for entire work shift. Ability to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Ability to do repetitious arm movements above and below shoulder level required for selection of product.
