Junior Accounting / Finance Task Manager Job - Full-time / Part-time

Junior Accounting/Finance Task Manager needed for a direct hire opportunity with Yoh's client located in Alexandria, VA / (Andrews Air Force Base).

Minimum Interim Secret Clearance with the ability and intention of obtaining a Secret Clearance; A TS/SCI Clearance is required for personnel involved with Special Programs.

Top Skills You Should Possess:

- Experience performing financial statement audits in DoD, federal agencies, or commercial Fortune 400 organizations and/or preparation of assertion packages.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Ability to lead a team of 2-10 personnel (prior exp. preferred)
- Ability to prepare clear, concise written correspondence.
- Detail oriented and proven organizational skills
- Experience communicating with stakeholders with ease
- Ability to thrive in a changing environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting (GAAP or Federal GAAP) and auditing principles.
- Experience performing and leading walkthroughs
- Experience documenting business processes, controls activities, and systems
- Experience assessing design effectiveness and operating effectiveness on control activities
- Familiarity with developing recommendations for remediating auditability impediments.
- Knowledge of Federal financial statements and financial reporting requirements.
- Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley and/or OMB Circular A-123
- Familiarity with GAO's Green Book
- Knowledge of DoD Audit Readiness Program (FIAR)

What You Need to Bring to the Table:

- Five (5) years of accounting or financial management experience, including three (3) or more years of progressive experience in leading business management and/or financial management services projects
- Four (4) year accounting degree preferred or Other Business Mgmt. degree with Financial Statement Auditing or Audit Readiness experience is also acceptable.
- CPA, CGFM, CDFM or CIA required.
- A minimum of 20 CPE credits each fiscal year and 120 CPE credits over a three-year rolling period.
- Financial statements audit experience
- Audit readiness preparation for an SBR or PP&E audit IAW FIAR Guidance
- Preparations and/or reviews of SBR or E&C assessable unit assertion packages IAW FIAR Guidance
- GAAP / GAGAS / ICOFR experience
- FASAB, SSAC, and SFFAS experience
- OMB Circulars A-123, A-127, A-134, A-136 and other OMB policies
- DoD and Air Force financial management policies and procedures
- Air Force policies, systems and procedures for personnel, acquisition, inventory, property and material management

- Civilian Pay experience, Vendor Pay, MOCAS, Procure to pay experience
- Plant, Property and Equipment (PP&E) experience
