Job Description and qualifications: *Maintain the day-to-day operations and to assume responsibility for maintaining the physical asset of the property under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Maintenance Lead. *Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned. *Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors. *Maintain availability as required for on-call maintenance. *Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, State and Federal guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES *Maintenance tasks: Preform tasks proficiently with little or no direction/supervision. Activities typically relate to corrective and preventative maintenance. Primary areas of focus will include but not limited to: *Mechanical maintenance/service for various types of production equipment (filling & labeling equipment, milling/polishing equipment, blending systems) *Mechanical maintenance/service for facility systems (air compressors, refrigeration systems, domestic water systems, waste water systems, etc…) *Light fabrication (Bridgeport mills, lathe, band saw, welding, etc…) *General production equipment repair *General facilities (Air piping, PVC piping, building upkeep, painting, etc…) *General facilities support (snow removal, fire system testing, wastewater startup/ shutdown, etc…) *Equipment troubleshooting: Must be able to quickly and correctly evaluate issues to machinery/systems and be able to report on the issue with recommendations. Both mechanical and electrical skills required. *Basic mathematical skills *Prefer experience in chemical/ regulated manufacturing environment *Able to read, understand and interpret mechanical, electrical and pneumatic drawings or schematics. *Ability to electrically troubleshoot issues High School Diploma required Certificate or diploma from a trade school for related field is a nice to have Minimum of 5 year proven track record of experience in production equipment maintenance and repair
