About this job

REQUIRED SKILLS:
* 3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Applications Engineering or Project Management/ Engineering experience from the Material Handling/ Warehouse & Distribution Industry - or other industries working with sales of systems for machinery.
* Degree is not required but would be preferred (experience will outweigh a degree)
* Demonstrable track record of sales success in the fields of automated and storage solutions & knowledge of comprehensive warehouse management, distribution, and/or material handling industry.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Access and Excel, preferred.
* Knowledge of AutoCAD products, preferred - needs to be able to do light drafting to show potential concepts to customer - full mechanical system layout will be done by a Project Engineer
* Ability to analyze raw data for the use of developing customer solutions to provide for project application.

POSITION SUMMARY:
* Conceptualizes and promotes storage and labor efficiency solutions to meet or exceed territory sales goals.
* This position is responsible for the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure; however, prospecting and client identification is TYPICALLY done by inside sales representatives
- 90-95% of the time there are projects that come their way without the need to prospect for it as there is a sales team that focuses mainly on the prospecting
* The E&D Solutions Engineer identifies new business opportunities; building a pipeline, qualifying and closing prospects.
* In addition, the E&D Solutions Engineer establishes strong relationships at high levels within key accounts which ensures optimal customer satisfaction and revenue generation.
* Meets/exceeds sales activity goals and revenue targets by conceptualizing value added alternatives providing viable justification and long term satisfaction for customers.
* Maintains project profitability and achieves consistent sales area growth by professionally representing departmental product lines (minimum expectation after 2 years is 200K in annual sales w/ each sale ranging from 50-100K)
* Works with all levels within customer organizations, including executive management, to conduct sales presentations, demonstrations, negotiations and project justifications.
* Maintains a strong working knowledge of current product and service offerings within the competitive marketplace
-Product Line is mainly automation, racking, storage, conveyor systems, and/or other warehouse distribution systems
* Focuses on selling solutions with complete understanding and analysis of the client's existing and future business needs.

Pay is a sum of Base+Car Allowance+Comission
