Underwriters & Loan Analysts - Forensic Opportunity

Job overview

Perform forensic underwriting review of closed mortgage loan files for compliance with applicable State and federal laws and adherence to specific lender guidelines with an emphasis on buy-back/put-back possibilities. This review includes identifying potential fraud and/or misrepresentation on the part of all interested parties to the transaction. Provide Quality Control Reviews for assigned associates. Review employment documentation and re-calculate income documentation for completeness and accuracy per guideline requirements

Requirements

• 1+ years Agency underwriting experience with exposure to both manual and automated underwriting environments, or strong processing background with experience in clearing AUS conditions
• Must have FNMA and or FHLMC conventional guideline knowledge
• Knowledge and understanding of transaction components that indicate a potential for fraud
• Must be self motivated, creative and able to work in a team environment while thinking independently and sharing knowledge and ideas
• Must be able to multi task between multiple analytical projects
• Strong computer skills
