Job Description:

There are 60 construction openings for a Solar Farm to be built in the local area. Candidates will need to have previous construction experience for these projects. Previous experience framing or roofing is a good background to come from. Candidates will be working with Power tools and Hand Tools to assemble metal racking equipment to hold the solar Modules in a fixed position. They will be trained on how to put the racking system together and will repeat the process until all of the racks are assembled and installed. Then the contractors will place the PV modules in the racking system and bolt them down.

Work Environment:

This will be an outside environment. They will be working on a construction site. They will be exposed to the weather and will have to be able to work through the cold to get these farms built. They will get started at 7 am each morning and work 8-10 hours a day. They must be open to working on Saturday because if they get behind they will work Saturdays to catch up. This position is a 3-4 month contract.

Qualifications:

Candidates need to have previous construction background to be considered. Candidates that have worked in Carptentry, framing, roofing, dry wall are all good backgrounds. HVAC background is also a plus. Experience working with an Electrical contractor or as an electricians helper is a great background to come from
