Senior Financial Analyst – LOB Finance Payments Analytics

This Senior Financial Analyst position is within the Payment Services Line of Business (LOB) Finance organization and will report into the Senior Manager of Analytics. This position will provide financial/ analytical/ decision support for key investment decisions related to Payments Services initiatives.

Key responsibilities will include:
* Develop financial projections for Payments Services programs across the Discover Network, Diners Club International, Global Business Development and Network Partners to support planning, incentive and investment decisions.
* Provide strategic advice and financial analysis for investment/ incentive decisions, pricing changes, product/ program profitability and the development of new products/ offers.
* Utilize an analytical approach to proactively develop insightful financial analysis.
* Collaborate with a cross-functional group of business partners to achieve strong results.
* Work within a team of three (One Manager, Two Analysts) to accomplish the above.

Qualifications

* Bachelors Degree in Finance or related. MBA preferred.
* 4 years, minimum, work experience in financial analysis, financial planning, strategy, or related field.
* Strong proficiency with Excel spreadsheets.
* Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a consultancy-based mindset to frame business issues, provide effective solutions, and present recommendations to management.
* Experience working with cross-functional teams and strong project management skills.
* Strong communication (oral and written), interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills required. * Must have a demonstrated ability to interact effectively with internal and external business partners.
* Payments Services experience preferred, but not required.
