About this job
The basic function of the delivery helper is to assist the delivery driver with delivery of product to customers' homes. Comply with company policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:
The following duties and responsibilities are essential in the daily execution of the position: Assist delivery driver with the daily truck inspection, using checklist Assist delivery driver with prepping the product for their deliveries and with the loading of the product onto the truck Assist delivery driver with the completion of the delivery. Deliver product, move old appliances, complete the appropriate hookup. Haul away old product or anything to complete the delivery process Once deliveries are complete, assist the delivery driver in checking in the truck and unloading the truck Assist delivery driver in sweeping out the truck box Assist delivery driver in maintaining and cleaning all equipment Perform other duties deemed necessary by the delivery supervisor or director of operations
CORE COMPETENCIES: Good organizational skills Follow policies and procedures Ability to work with others Ability to follow direction Perform all functions in a safe and controlled manner
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS: High school education (or equivalent) No experience required
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Job Classification: Medium
Exerting 400 to 100 pounds minimally, 100 to 50 pounds occasionally, 50 to 25
pounds frequently, and/or less than 25 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for medium work.
