Staffmark is seeking experienced Tellers | Cashiers for our client in Downtown LA

Short | Long Term job assignments available

Teller Job Purpose: Under direct supervision, processes customer transactions within established guidelines while providing excellent customer service. Responsible for maintaining and balancing a cash drawer.

Teller Job Duties:

Demonstrated cash handling and balancing skills including, but not limited to: Handling a high dollar cash drawer including opening and closing procedures; verifying payment amounts, receiving payments, making change and issuing receipts; identifying counterfeit money and unacceptable checks, etc.

Opening and sorting mail, verifying amounts on remittances enclosed and transmitting them to the appropriate section.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (40 hours + Occasional O/T)

7:30am-5:30pm

Job Requirements

Background Check: Live Scan Fingerprinting: Dept. of Justice, FBI and County

Qualifications:

Minimum 1+ year high volume with large amount of cash handling and customer service experience preferably in a banking-type environment

Previous banking/credit union experience is preferred

Good customer service/sales, ability to demonstrate teamwork in a small environment, flexibility in scheduling and daily tasks, ability to learn quickly on the job, professional appearance/behavior, good verbal/written communication skills, good problem-solving, good computer-skills, and a strong work ethic.
