Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
Planning
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Assist with the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
Assist President and General Manager with developing budgets
Develop tools for forecasting revenue and profitability
Operations
Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team
Oversee the financial operations of the company
Oversee the company's transaction processing systems
Supervise financial settlements, accounts payables and receivables with customers and vendors
Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for pricing decisions, contract negotiations and capital investments
Financial Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
Assist with developing financial information for reporting to board of directors
Risk Management
Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
CPA/Worked for a firm from 1-3 years

Requirements
The VP of Finance is responsible for monitoring and assessing the financial and risk management operations of the company-this includes the development of an operational finance strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. We are looking for someone who has strong accounting and finance skills and a firm business knowledge. This person will report to the President of the company and will have a tremendous opportunity to drive company decision-making and grow with the company. The ideal candidate would have a few years of work experience in either an accounting firm or investment bank and be self-motivated and energetic. The candidate must have a strong work ethic and be willing to learn the business. Confidentiality and the ability to make strong financial decisions is critical.
