As a Systems Analyst at Optum, you will have the opportunity to define cutting-edge mobile and web-based health management systems. Our team is focused on delivering solutions to meet a wide range of health consumer needs, including personal health management, benefit management and health finance management functions. We need world-class Systems Analysts to work in an Agile development environment to help us build our next generation consumer experience. 

Positions in this function work in the analysis phase of the system development cycle and consult with users to evaluate business requirements, identify operating procedures, evaluate existing or proposed systems and prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with product owners to define product requirements for web and native mobile applications targeting consumers.

·         Evaluate business requirements, user stories to understand and clarify a business/technology problem, and help to remove any ambiguity

• Prepare uses cases and detailed functional and technical specifications from which programs will be written.

·         Data mapping User Interfaces to the backend services and databases

• Responsible for the design and implementation of service schemas leveraging UHG Enterprise Data Models, as well as industry standards.


• Communicate design to all stakeholders 


• Responsible for meeting or exceeding all defined target goals and milestone dates for the project in order to ensure its overall success 


• Work closely with engineers and quality analysts to ensure that requirements are understood, complete and met.


• Drive resolution of and serve as a key resource on critical and complex issues

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in a Systems Analysis or IT Development through all phases of SDLC


• 3 + years of experience with working on large scale applications


• 3+ years of experience translating business requirements into a detailed system specification


• Excellent problem solving skills including ability to analyze data residing in disparate systems.


• Excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills


• Strong understanding of SOA Architecture (SOAP as well as RESTful Services)

Assets:

• Ability to lead and/or mentor team members


• Experience working on highly scalable cloud-based systems


• Experience with Agile / Scrum lifecycle methodology


• Experience Logical/ Physical data modeling
