Southwest Medical Associates (SMA) is a multi-specialty group of physicians, Nurse Practitioners, and Physician Assistants consisting of over 200 providers, fourteen clinical locations including nine health care centers, five urgent care clinics and an outpatient surgery center. SMA offers patients compassion, innovation, and quality care throughout southern Nevada. SMA is headquartered in the greater Las Vegas, NV area.

Primary Responsibilities:




  • This MA will be used to directly support a provider on a daily basis
  • This MA will be responsible for collecting all the pre-visit/HEDIS/STAR information on over 450 patients per month that come to the PCP
  • Will be required to complete a minimum of 800 direct patient support tasks each month
  • This CMA needs to provide excellent customer service and help identify opportunities with patients that allow us to adhere to, and improve, our quality measures/star measures for patient care
  • This will be a back office position for the Adult Medicine clinic

Requirements

Required Qualifications:




  • High school education/GED
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or have 3+ years of Military trained Medical Assistant experience
  • Current CPR certification or willing to obtain with in 30 days
  • At least 2 years of experience in clinical and/or hospital setting as a CMA
  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance

Preferred Qualifications:



  • EMR experience
  • MS Office experience (Word, Outlook, Excel)
