About this job

General:  The Service Coordinator is expected to perform a variety of duties in the coordination of scheduling and ensuring quality service for clients.  The Service Coordinator is expected to assist and support other staff members in order to provide the highest quality of service to clients.
  
Primary:
  • Coordinate and maintain client/CAREGiver schedules on a daily basis. Maintain internal databases in a precise and timely manner.  Implement back-up schedule coverage plans as appropriate.
  • Manage questions, concerns, shift/schedule changes as necessary in an efficient and timely manner to ensure continuous quality care for our clients.
  • Coordinate and accurately maintain client schedules in internal databases.
  • Conduct client/CAREGiver introductions as needed/requested.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all clients and CAREGivers.
  • Monitor and log both client and CAREGiver activity as appropriate.  Communicate all activity to fellow Office Staff.
  • Counsel CAREGivers on client service quality concerns.  Communicate concerns to fellow Office Staff.
  • Communicate client updates to CAREGivers as needed/requested.
  • Gather and report client updates from CAREGivers to fellow Office Staff as needed/requested.
  • Develop a daily status of activities – include concerns, potential problems, and next day plans.  Communicate concerns and potential problems to manager immediately.

General:
  • Enter and maintain accurate data in internal systems.
  • Maintain regular attendance at the office to execute job responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate open and effective communication with colleagues and employees.

24x7 Coverage Support:
  • Share in rotation of 24x7 operations through on-call support as planned/scheduled – weeknight, week-end, holidays, etc.
  • Manage questions, concerns, shift/schedule changes as necessary in an efficient and timely manner to ensure quality care for our clients.

Requirements:
  • Flexible schedule that allows for off-hours support of job responsibilities – evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of similar experience in senior care or related industry.
  • Applicant must have a vehicle, current driver’s license, and current automobile insurance.
  • Driving record review, criminal background check, and drug screen conducted in hiring process.

  • Excellent communications skills – ability to develop strong, positive relationships through thoughtful and respectful communications.
  • Logical thinking skills, good with puzzles or playing chess.  Ability to weigh options and design solutions.
  • Experience in scheduling or similar skills.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced work environment – able to remain calm under pressure and manage stressful situations well.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work - a "list maker".  Initiative to complete duties promptly and assist colleagues and employees as needed.
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
