La Torretta Lake Resort & Spa
Line cook is a members of the Food & Beverage Team. S/he is responsible for: preparation of food "to order" for the hotel restaurant; ensures consistent quality; and follows IHR's Standard Operating Procedures and Food Safety procedures. This individual is required to be detailed oriented, works well in a team environment and enjoys serving customers in a positive, friendly and courteous manner.
General Skills/ Qualifications
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, lift and carry heavy objects
- Training in a culinary arts school or apprentice with professional chefs, 3-5 years of relevant professional cooking experience, including some supervisory/ management experience or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
- Broad and in-depth professional knowledge and skills in food preparation, cooking and presentation.
- Strong organization skills.
- Excellent leadership and coaching skills.
-Ability to deal effectively with variety of company personnel
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50lbs
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include night, weekends and holidays.
