Local Growing company is expanding their staff with an additional Quality Technician in their Automotive Manufacturing facility.



You are the ideal candidate for this position if YOU possesses a high level of attention to detail, have basic math skills with the ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, have knowledge of basic inspection measuring tools and test equipment including CMM, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings in a manufacturing environment.

Job Summary:

As the Quality Technician you will performs inspection and testing on products and materials, inspecting for defects at incoming inspection, in-process, and prior to shipping. Helps to ensure that quality processes & procedures and other specification driven requirements are met during the course of production. Generates quality documents and reports. Maintains accurate and detailed records per company guidelines. Performs various product/process inspections using hand-held gages, test equipment, Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), etc.

Schedule:

2 nd Shift (start time will vary as seen below)

2:00 PM – 11:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 12:00 a.m., 4:00 PM – 1:00 a.m.

$12/hour (during 1st shift training)

Raise after transition to 2nd shift

Strong skills in Excel, Math, and use of Quality measuring tools



Duties and Responsibilities:

1) Performs incoming inspection of purchased goods and materials.

2) Performs patrol inspection of in-process product.

3) Performs product audit.

4) Performs dock audit of outgoing products prior to shipping.

5) Measures in-process and finished goods using hand-held gages, test equipment, CMM, etc.

6) Assists in generating quality documents, forms, reports & spreadsheets, collection & review of Statistical Process Control (SPC) data, etc.

7) Assists in maintaining Quality Management System including Quality Manual information, Quality Processes, Quality Procedures and other related specifications & standards.

8) Assists with manual and electronic document control, filing and record keeping.

9) Maintains work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures.

10) Processes and assists non-conforming material and supplier quality issues as assigned.

11) Assists with documentation and maintenance of calibrated equipment.

12) Supports Quality Management with assigned tasks.

13) Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.



Knowledge and Skills:

  • Candidate must be proficient using MS Office including creating & modifying Word & Excel documents and entering data accurately into quality forms & spreadsheets.

  • Candidate must be able to follow directions well and be able to understand simple written instructions, memos, processes and procedures.

  • Candidate has clear communication skills, both written and oral and keeps detailed, accurate records. An ideal candidate is a self - starter with the ability to perform daily tasks with minimal direct supervision, a strong sense of responsibility to the job with respect to attendance and the good judgment to know when to ask questions. Must also understand that working safely, following company guidelines and policies on safety are a requirement for the job.



    Education and Work Experience:

    An ideal candidate will have a high school diploma. Experience in Quality

    Control in a manufacturing environment, is preferred. A good attendance record, performance record and ability to work well with others is necessary.
