Floor Maintenance Part-Time Customer Service

This is an OVERNIGHT position. Candidate must be available 9pm to 5am daily, including weekends.

A glimpse at the job:

As a member of the Floor Maintenance team, you will play an important part in upholding the appearance of the store, working hard at night to ensure floors are gleaming for our customers each morning. Along with team members, you'll provide incredible service to both our customers and employees. I will add value by:

• Maintaining the appearance of floors in the store by sweeping, washing and buffing during overnight operations, being sure to attend to areas where spills or accidents occurred during the day and ensuring the restroom facilities are properly cleaned at night
• Paying close attention to department floors after shelves and displays are moved, stripping tiles and recoating floors if there is extensive damage to an area
• Remaining conscious of customers while performing tasks, assisting them in getting products if work prevents them from walking on floors in certain aisles
• Working with Overnight Grocery crew to coordinate activities and ensure each team is able to accomplish tasks and are not in aisles during the same time
• Appropriately planning production for the night, being sure to account for seasonal effects and understanding how certain weather conditions will alter workflow
• Working with team members to buff the entire store in an efficient manner, being sure to account for square footage and cover all areas
• Properly handling all equipment and chemicals in accordance with safety guidelines

What will set me apart from other candidates:

• Floor maintenance experience, particularly using floor buffers and scrubbers
• Experience stripping and recoating tiles
• Experience working overnight hours

Work environment:

• Work involves occasional interaction with customers and co-workers
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive and sustained grasping, bending and reaching
• Responsible for moving and lifting an average of 1-10 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely
• Duties require safely working with cleaning chemicals and other materials, floor scrubbers and floor buffer
• May be exposed to various allergens
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his or her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours
