The successful candidate in the Production Associate position will be trained in all facets of pretreatment coatings production in order to learn the essential tasks of the position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Operating mixers and auxiliary equipment per instructions to ensure first run capability. Incumbent must be able to select & set-up pumping equipment per instructions. Associate will operate pumping equipment, monitor process, and make adjustments as necessary. Associate will also prepare containers with proper labels, make necessary liquid and chemical connections, fill containers, properly close containers, and relocate containers to shipping area. Associate will maintain safety & 5S standards associated with manufacturing activities.

The base starting salary for this position is $15.89 per hour. PPG offers a competitive compensation package that includes medical, dental, vacation, and retirement benefits.

Currently the Euclid site is a dayshift manufacturing operation only.Candidates must be able to work overtime Monday through Friday and occasional Saturdays.

Qualified applicants will be required to successfully complete a pre-screening and production assessment.

Qualifications

Prior experience in an industrial setting is required, while prior chemical manufacturing experience is preferred. Good communication and interpersonal skills are also required, as well as the capability to function in a team oriented environment where tasks and workload are shared/rotated among all associates of varying levels within the Operations Department. Incumbent must be able to wear a respirator. Candidates must have completed high school/GED.
