About this job

Primary Responsibilities
Provide exemplary service to guests and team members
Maintain patron surveillance on water attractions that are less than 5 feet in depth including slide dispatch
Responsible for all aspects of safety on all water activities, including bottoms of waterslides and activity pools
Prevent and respond to guest emergencies
Maintain the ability to pass a SEA swim test throughout the season
Maintain an acceptable level of proficiency of park knowledge, water rescue, CPR/AED, and First Aid Skills
Attend scheduled in-service training and participate in regular audits to maintain or increase skill level
Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to use of personal protective equipment, lifting and reporting of unsafe situations.
Establish and maintain a positive atmosphere which ensures the highest level of team member while supporting and demonstrating exemplary guest service
Maintain organization of area including but not limited to cleanliness and proper product storage
Maintain a professional appearance that meets grooming standards.

Requirements and Competencies
Must be able to act responsibly with a high attention to safety
Must be able to stand for long periods of time including bending, pushing and pulling
Must have an American Red Cross Lifeguarding or Shallow Water Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR/AED for Lifeguards and Water Park Skills certification or must be able to pass all requirements to obtain certification in these courses.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to stand and walk in extreme weather conditions for prolonged periods of time
Must be successful in passing the SEA swim test
Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be willing to comply with and ensure team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards.
Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines
