Job Duties Interact professionally with Aaron’s associates Communicate clearly with supervisor and fellow staff Demonstrate a strong understanding of Aaron’s target market and how PR programs can build Aaron‘s reputation with those identified markets Work with Director of PR, PR firm and partners to create and execute PR programs Communicate with a variety of news media Pitch and secure feature and news placements for Aaron’s Demonstrate strong writing skills for the news media Stay on top of industry trends Generate internal PR reports as assigned Participate in program meetings Answer in-depth media inquiries Meet deadlines Co-manage and/or manage directly assigned campaigns Coordinate various company-sponsored events and programs Provide constructive feedback to fellow staff on projects Function well in a team environment   Position Requirements Bachelor's degree in liberal arts, business or related discipline Minimum of 5-7 years previous experience Contribute to strategic counsel on PR programs and issues Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills Have a strong command of basic public relations skills Possess strong media relations skills Demonstrate a command of AP style Possess a strong understanding of corporate and retail issues   At Aaron’s, you will have access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes:   Paid time off including vacation days, sick days and holidays Ongoing training and development Medical, dental & vision insurance 401(k) plan Life insurance Disability benefits Employee Purchase Discounts   A drug screen and criminal background investigation are required before beginning employment at Aaron’s.  A job performance reference check is also required.   Aaron’s is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
