IT- QA Test Engineer -eCommerce

# Description



Position Summary:

The role is for a QA Test Engineer and will be reporting directly to the Global eCommerce QA Manager. The position is a key contributor for all the web store projects for Toys R Us and Babies R Us globally . This role supports a more than $1Billion business using proprietary and best in class technologies. This is a global team and is part of an expanding group for new market web stores. The candidate will have responsibility to provide excellent QA testing efforts related to Global eCommerce projects and support.

Responsibilities:

· The qualified candidate will need the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high paced high stress environment throughout the year

· Work on QA efforts for all the web store projects for Toys R Us and Babies R Us globally

· Build and maintain relationships with other IT groups, Business areas, and vendor partners

· Track and manage tasks through to completion

· Conduct testing for global web stores for desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms

· Communicate clearly and timely to business and IT leaders on updates surrounding current work

· Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.

· Backend database testing in Microsoft SQL environment and Oracle including validating stored procs, jobs and triggers

· Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan

· Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like the test data, data validation, and automated scripts

· Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results

· Hold and facilitate test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members

· Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and escalate potential quality issues immediately to management

· Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements

· Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes






# Qualifications



· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

· Prior experience eCommerce QA testing is a plus

· Ability to work at times under extreme pressure and still be able to calmly lead solution delivery

· Flexibility to be able to adapt to constantly shifting priorities and issues

· Effective problem solving skills

· Motivated to want to test, find, and prevent any defects from getting past QA

· Desire and passion to advance career to the next level at a dynamic and globally recognized brand

· Experience with testing tools and automation tools a plus
