Surveyor - Full-time / Part-time

Land Surveyor, 6 month Temporary Position

LOCATION: Vancouver, WA

SALARY: $22.28 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION: Local government agency seeks a Land Surveyor to temporarily join their team for 6 months. Primary duties for this position will include construction, boundary control, and topographic surveying. The candidate for this position will also be performing tasks such as differential leveling, records research, drafting of survey maps and processing and filing of survey records. Hours for this position will be Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

- Minimum four years of experience working as a Land Surveyor.

- Must have strengths in surveying for control, boundary, topographic mapping and construction staking.

- Must be experienced in using survey equipment, including total stations, GPS, levels, data collects, etc.

- Experience with Leica products desirable. Smartworx software, AutoCad Map, Carlson Survey and Civil 3D experience is preferred.

- Must have strong time management and organizational skills.

- Must have a valid driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a clean driving record.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs., walk over rough and uneven terrain, and frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and twist.

- Candidate must be able to perform standard and topographic survey duties including, but not limited to: carrying stake bags, use of a sledge hammer to install stakes, walking through and clearing of heavy brush using multiple power and hand tools.

- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal background check.
