As a Product Consultant you will be joining our dynamic Optum Consumer Advocacy group, you will develop the strategy and vision for product roadmaps, establish collaborative relationships with external and internal stakeholders, gather accurate requirements and evaluate product performance for enhancements. You will strategically and creatively think about how the consumer experience should work; translating a vision to processes and requirements that impacts millions of lives and helps health the health care system. 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Navigate and influence multiple cross-functional teams in a complex, matrix work environment
  • Support the development of market and sales strategies and value proposition
  • Forecast revenue or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives
  • Manage cross-segment projects and initiatives that require problem solving, relationship building, influencing and analyzing
  • Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges.
  • Influence innovation across teams to ensure aligned; cohesive progress across multiple areas including technology, marketing, and service operations
  • Demonstrated ability to influence teams and prioritize deliverables
  • Highly organized, driven, and accountable
  • A self-starter who can operate well in a consistently changing and ambiguous environment
  • Must be based in the Twin Cities metro area (will work in Optum offices - primarily Golden Valley and Eden Prairie, MN)
  • Able to balance strategic thinking with the urgency to drive work forward
  • Adapts quickly to changes in work direction and able to pivot work accordingly
  • Creative problem solver

  • Team player with strong ability to form working professional relationships
  • Experience using data and research to formulate logical business recommendations

Requirements

Required Qualifications:





  • Bachelor Degree.
  • 3+ years of Product Management/
    Product development experience.

  • 2+ years Microsoft Office applications (Excel – performing analysis, creating pivot
    tables, creating and editing; PowerPoint- creating and editing presentations).


Preferred
Qualifications:





  • Master's Degree.
  • Healthcare experience.
