Positions in this function
design, implement and maintain all functions of database systems, including
access, methods and time, device allocations, validation checks, organization,
security, documentation, and statistical methodology. Monitors overall standards
and procedures, assists in integrating various systems. Consults with users,
determine requirements and recommends database establishment and utilization.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Generally work is
self-directed and not prescribed. - Works with less structured, more complex issues.
- Serves as a resource to others.
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience designing,
developing, and delivering solutions in MS SQL Server 2008, 2012 and/or 2014. - 3+ years experience with T-SQL
development of stored procedures, indexing, triggers, functions, and queries. - 3+ years experience with MS SQL
Server administration including backups, monitoring, and performance tuning as
well as failover cluster management, replication management and job scheduling. - Experience in at least one
object-oriented programming language such as Visual Basic .NET, C#, or Java. - 3+ years experience working within
wither Agile or Waterfall SDLC. - Bachelor's Degree in Information
Technology, Computer Science or other related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of data
warehousing and ETL techniques using SSIS. - Working knowledge of interacting
with and automating interfaces with disparate systems, including mainframe and
iSeries/DB2. - Experience migrating/upgrading from
SQL 2008 to 2012 or 2014. - Experience with encryption and SALT
hashing/masking processes.
