About this job

This position is the internal voice for our customer base and have both the accountability and the responsibility to deliver on our customers' needs. The position acts as the liaison between customers and all functional areas within the environment to resolve service and support inquiries. This is a tier 2 application support position that works with internal and external customers to resolve production issues. This includes after hours support as the member of an on call rotation.

 

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Handle escalated trouble tickets to resolve network service issues

  • Validate trouble descriptions and perform detailed trouble diagnosis

  • Recommend solutions to correct network trouble issues and faults

  • Utilize support tools and resources necessary to get the job done, including e-mail, chat, and telephone

  • Track and update troubles in ticketing system

  • Support processes and activities related to ITIL change management

  • Analyze application performance through trend analysis and reports and develop and implement appropriate corrective action

Requirements

Required Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience with Java and Oracle required

  • Demonstrated customer service skills to be able to solve customer service issues, both technical and account

  • Strong problem analysis skills

  • Self-motivation and goal-orientation

  • Superior oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to maintain composure in critical situations and communicate clearly with both internal and external customers to review policy process via computer-based database as necessary to provide written and/or oral answers or solutions to customers

  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills

  • Ability to work in a collegial fashion with peers in other organizational units

  • Ability to independently work and problem solve in changing, ambiguous environment
