Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the production planning function. Accurately enters data onto computer from sales orders and reports. Runs and issues Material Requirements Planning and Work-in-Process status reports. Creates, issues and closes production work orders. Updates capacity planning and master schedule. Operates computer and uses inventory control and shop-floor programs to produce scheduled daily, weekly, or ad-hoc reports. Reviews open order report information, verifies accuracy or investigates and corrects discrepancies. Develops work order product priority for production supervisor. Determines production material required; verifies quantities available. Communicates type of materials approaching critical re-order levels to purchasing function to assure material is available for production requirements. Stores, maintains and safe guards inventory file print-outs, bills-of-material and shop floor actions. Communicates bulk material status to Customer Service and allocates material based on agreed prioritization of customer requirements. Files completed work orders, reports, correspondence, papers, as required. Works directly with ASC customers for third party packaging scheduling. Provides back-up for site purchasing. Complies with Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and procedures at all times. Performs other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

Experience and Education


High school degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Functional and Technical Skills


Basic administrative experience required. Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English. Must be able to perform basic mathematical calculations including decimals, fractions, percentages, and metric conversions. Must be able to operate a personal computer and perform accurate data entry operations. Must be able to wear required PPE when applicable with or without reasonable accommodation.
